Choosing a vessel
Selection is a personal experience that reflects your relationship with those loved, to honor and remember. No two individuals are alike, and no two vessels are alike.
Vessels are hand thrown and carved without forms or casting. Texture
and tool markings reflect the work of caring hands. Taking approximately one
week of time to carve and complete each piece, the number of
urns available each year is limited. No two vessels are alike.
Size
When making a selection, keep two things in mind:
Vessel size allowable:
When placed in a mausoleum crypt, columbarium niche, or inside a
burial container, size specifics will need to be identified before a
vessel is selected.
Vessel size for cremation remains:
Vessel size needed to hold the cremation remains (cremains) is based
on body weight. If the
body weight of the deceased was 200 pounds, the vessel must be 200
cubic inches. If you
have questions about needed size, inquiry with a service provider is
recommended.
To protect the cremains, they should be kept in the resilient liner
provided. We recommend securing the
lid of the stoneware vessel with a silicone adhesive.
On this web site, each vessel is shown with dimensions and volume by
cubic inch.
