The Artist

Artist and author, Michelle Kaisersatt embraces each day at her rural Minnesota studio, designing and creating art that speaks to the soul. If she is not at her studio, she is sharing her passion for fiber, clay and nature with enthusiastic students at surrounding schools, volunteering within the community, or at her favorite art stops around the area. Asked how Michelle would describe her work, she admits that’s a bit of a challenge, due to the uniqueness of her work. However, she offers “nature-driven, celebratory, organic and soulful” all, as good descriptors. She adds “Everything I create reflects a deep respect for life and of how we live and how we love.”

Michelle’s greatest wish is that you find what you are looking for – and that it speaks to your soul.

What clients say about Michelle’s work:

“I contacted Michelle at the Keyhole Studio to create a piece for our anniversary. I had an idea for a vase but no way to conceptualize it. After a short discussion Michelle took over and soon after I had in front of me some great concept drawings. Once I approved the sketches, the creation took off. I was kept very informed with notes and pictures throughout the entire process. The end result was perfect, thanks for making the design in my mind a great piece of art!”

“After my beloved dog died, I wanted to find a special urn unique to him. I was drawn to the designs by Michelle Kaisersatt of The Keyhole Studio which evokes a simple elegance & intrinsic connection to nature — an excellent match for what I was seeking. I wrote to Michelle with my ideas for a custom urn and we worked together in a collaborative process on shape, size, texture & color. Michelle is thoughtful, communicative & detailed. With her skills, she creatively brought my ideas to life. She asked about my dog’s personality as these details helped to inspire her creation. Her packing skills in shipping this piece to me safely were unsurpassed! I am very pleased and 100% satisfied with the outcome of this process. This original vessel truly honors the memory of my dear boy. I highly recommend the art of Michelle Kaisersatt!”
