Summer brings us many moments within family time. Gathering with those near and far. No matter really, if the days are hot and sticky. Humid, almost unbearable. (wink…..we love Minnesota right!?) They mark who we are. And I am glad we are able to share those moments together. For there will come a time when we are hard pressed to remember all of the details. But we will remember the emotional attachment. The sighs. The giggles. The challenges. (Yeah, about trying out that Razor Stick….) The enthusiasm.
Many times while creating a piece of art, there is an emotional experience that is happening as well. It saturates into the piece. Becomes a part of it. Giving it a life of its own. And later on, down the road, that emotion is exuded – again and again. Almost as fresh as the day it was created.
The same holds true when I find a piece of art to add to my collection. The emotion, the growth, the attachment I feel at that point in my life, it resonates – always. No, it is not just a piece of art. It is life.
My wish for you: I hope your summer is giving you memories that will be felt for years to come.
